Rheometer
Blood Rheometer

We have a joint venture with an Australian company producing a point-of-care device that measures the rheological properties of blood.

These properties include a measure of the propensity of blood to clot. These measures enable optimization in the application of anticoagulants (for people whose blood clots too readily) and coagulants (for those people whose blood does not clot).

The device should also provide an early marker for the presence of Sepsis. The ability to flag the likelihood of Sepsis without having to take samples and send them to the laboratory should provide an additional weapon in the treatment of people with this killer disease.
